Wage comments: $12.00 an hour plus tips (may add another $3-$5 an hour)

Job Description :

Position Overview: Join our fast-paced team at Jane’s Boardwalk Pizza! You’ll be responsible for greeting and assisting customers, taking orders, explaining menu items, and processing payments using the register (both cash and credit card transactions). You’ll also deliver food and drinks to tables and ensure a clean, efficient dining area.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet customers, assist with menu selection, and take accurate orders.

  • Payment Processing: Handle payments, including cash and credit card transactions.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food according to recipes and quality standards, including slicing, dicing, and assembling ingredients. You may also assist in cooking and preparing pizza in a fast-paced environment.
  • Kitchen Duties: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including using sharp knives and kitchen equipment, stocking food items, and cleaning prep areas. Ensure sanitary controls are followed.
  • Dining Area Maintenance: Buss tables, sweep or vacuum floors, and restock supplies to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.
  • Cross-Training: Be flexible to help with other positions as needed, depending on the flow of business. You may be cross-trained for various roles, including food prep, cooking, and customer service.

Key Requirements: Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

  • Flexibility: Willing to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), holidays, and evening shifts.
  • You may not work the same shifts or have the same days off as your friends. Shift times and hours may vary.
  • Dependability & Teamwork: Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. A great service attitude and willingness to help where needed are essential.
  • Additional Tasks: You may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Attendance: Missing shifts due to other jobs or commitments (e.g., online classes) is not permitted. If you call out sick or miss shifts, your employer is not required to schedule additional shifts that week.
  • Unpredictable Hours: Job hours are not guaranteed, and you may work more or fewer hours depending on business needs. Some days may be slower than others.
